Canary Islands Colony, a False Autonomous Status

F-18 incident forces airport runway closure

'Gran Canaria International Airport', is an airport located on Gran Canaria, Canary Islands off the west coast of Africa.

29.06.2010. Traffic at Gran Canaria Airport had to be interrupted temporarily on Tuesday morning after a fighter from the adjoining Spanish Air Force Base ran into trouble on landing.

16/06/2009 Accident of two airplanes F- 18 in the Canary Islands To the 15:53 hours, two airplanes EF-18A of Wing 46 of Aerial Base of Gando, that was realising an exercise of advanced training military electronics under the direction of the Air command battle of the Army of Aire (MACOM), suffered an accident by reasons that are under investigation.

Two F-18 aircraft from the Canary Islands have reported to have crashed into the sea during a training mission, at 15:53 in the afternoon between the coast of Fuerteventura and Africa.

The geostrategic importance of the Canary Islands has been reevaluated from 1975 forward in the light of tripartite agreement on Sahara, the Hispanic-Maroccan treaties, and the entry of Spain into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), through a Referendum celebrated on March 1986. On the year 2010 it is the twenty fourth anniversary in wich the Canary Islands residents voted against NATO, however it implies the false autonomy to wich islands are submitted because Spain carries on keeping the military occupation.

On 1982 , the Canary Islands obtained a false autonomous status within Spain to deceive the United Nations Organization (UNO) and to maintain the Spanish military and missionery presence in the region (remember, please, the NATO Referendum on March, 12th, 1986). Spain offers the most complicated instructive case study with regard to other imperialistic countries, by means of the way the have imposed past and inferiority complex and speculator future. Spanish colonialism control the Canary Islands through military occupation and monopoly of the education system, the economy, and the mass media.

The United Nations Secretary-General Mr. Ban Ki-moon said that 2010 would be an important year for the Special Decolonization Committee because it will mark both the end of the Second International Decade for the Eradication of Colonialism and the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Declaration of the Granting of Independence Declaration to Colonial Countries and its People.
